Ball Mill (Dry Type)

It is used when the ground material is not suitable for wet grinding or when it can not be wet type. Only crush material and crushing medium (ball) are put into the mill. The characteristic is less contamination of impurities from the liner and grinding medium than wet. The ball mill has an extremely large effective area for pulverization and it is used as a fine pulverizer, and it is used widely, including ceramics and chemical plants. It has excellent crushing power and dispersion power, and the allowable range of the particle size before grinding of the crushed raw material is wide and it is a closed type, so stable product can be obtained without fluctuation in blending ratio during pulverization dispersion. If alumina porcelain is used for the lining, mixing of wear components can be further reduced.

Ball Mill (Wet Type)

Add crushed raw materials and grinding media (balls), water and other liquids to the mill. Although it is more suitable for pulverization than dry type, it is suitable for fine grinding, but if it crushes too long, contamination of impurities may increase due to wear of liner and ball. The ball mill has an extremely large effective area for pulverization and it is used as a fine pulverizer and is suitable for crushing various mineral chemicals etc. It has excellent crushing power and dispersion power, and the allowable range of the particle size before grinding of the crushed raw material is wide and it is a closed type, so stable product can be obtained without fluctuation in blending ratio during pulverization dispersion. Using alumina porcelain can reduce the inclusion of wear components.

Ball Mill (Dry Type)

Unlike wet grinding, where raw materials are crushed together with water, a method of grinding without mixing water (in air). It eliminates the drying process, wastewater treatment process, etc. for separating water after grinding like wet grinding. However, in dry type, it is necessary to take countermeasures if dust is apt to fly and a dust collection filter system is required or it is mixed with oxygen in the air and is explosive. Usually the motor used for dry grinding uses a motor with about 3 times the output of the same size for wet grinding.

It is a method to crush in liquid such as water. Therefore, although dust does not fly, it is necessary to provide water separation and its wastewater treatment facility in a later process. The grinding particle size can reach up to several microns by mono.
