Environmental activities
As a manufacturing factory, Nakako Seiki is blessed with a very favorable environment. It is surrounded by trees and there are no private houses nearby. We are proud to be able to produce in this rich natural environment, and at the same time, we would like to continue manufacturing products that are fully considerate of the environment.
Around the beginning of the Meiji era, high-quality Kamado feldspar was discovered at the foot of Mt. Byobu in Mizunami City. In the Taisho era, cylindrical iron tromels began to be used to crush feldspar. Waterwheels were powered by water from the Sasaragi River flowing from the mountains, and the tromels were moved. Surprisingly, the water wheel was also used as the power source for the jaw crusher when the tromel was not in use. At that time, we were practicing the ultimate in energy conservation. I believe that our company has been strongly involved in the production of tromels and sludge wastewater treatment equipment for a long time without being as conscious of the environment as we would today.
There is no longer a time when it is desirable and required to protect the environment and create a sustainable society on a global scale. Recycle and reuse items that would otherwise be thrown away or sent to a landfill. We will make any small contribution in areas such as creating other forms of energy that reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and developing equipment to store surplus energy. Although there are already some areas where this is being put into practice, we would like to contribute even more strongly.
I don’t think many people ever see our machines. Our machines cannot directly produce final products that can be seen on the general market. However, I believe that our machines play a behind-the-scenes role, the so-called behind-the-scenes role of people at other companies, who use our machines to make good raw materials and use those raw materials to make good products.
